Compete on a national and international stage.

ACE membership gives students access to recognized academic competitions in mathematics, science, and more — alongside mentorship, tours, and year-round programming. These aren't just contests. They're credentials, experiences, and proof of what you're capable of.

The competitions listed below are available to ACE members throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. ACE helps students identify the right competitions for their grade and interest, prepares them through practice and mentorship, and supports the registration process. Participation is optional and based on each student's goals and eligibility.

AMC — Mathematical Association of America

American Mathematics Competitions

The AMC series is one of the most respected mathematics competition pathways in North America, organized by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). It promotes mathematical problem-solving and identifies talented students at every level. Strong performers may qualify for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) — a gateway to the USA Mathematical Olympiad.

Pathway to AIME: Students who score in the top tier on AMC 10 or AMC 12 qualify for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME), one of the most prestigious pre-olympiad competitions in North America.

TIMO — International Mathematics Competition

Turkic International Mathematical Olympiad

TIMO is an international mathematics competition open to students from Grade 2 through Grade 12. The competition runs in two stages: a preliminary round conducted locally in participating countries, followed by a global final round that brings together top performers from around the world. TIMO emphasizes problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical creativity across all grade levels.

Einstein Olympiad — Albert Einstein Global Academy

Einstein Olympiad

An international academic competition that encourages excellence in Mathematics and Science, established by the Albert Einstein Global Academy. Open to students from Grade 1 through Grade 12, with a prestigious global final held in Berlin, Germany.

NBC — National Biology Competition

National Biology Competition

An annual competition designed to assess students' knowledge and understanding of biological sciences. The NBC challenges high school students to apply biological concepts across a wide range of topics, from cell biology to ecology. A strong foundation for students considering medicine, life sciences, or research pathways.

SIN Contest — University of Waterloo

Sir Isaac Newton Contest

Offered by the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Waterloo, the SIN Contest encourages interest and achievement in physics at the senior high school level. The University of Waterloo is internationally recognized for its STEM programs and competition tradition.

Avogadro Contest — Chemistry

Avogadro Chemistry Contest

The Avogadro Chemistry Contest challenges students to apply chemistry concepts and problem-solving skills in a competitive setting. It covers topics including organic chemistry, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and analytical reasoning — ideal preparation for students interested in chemistry, engineering, or medicine.

ADEPT — International Academic Competition

Achievement in Diverse Educational Progress & Talent Competition Olympiad

ADEPT is an international competition designed to recognize and encourage diverse student talents across multiple disciplines. It spans the full range from Kindergarten to Grade 12, making it one of the most inclusive competition platforms available. The international finals are held in Hong Kong and Fukuoka, Japan — offering students a genuinely global academic experience and the chance to represent Canada on an international stage.
